Sometimes you walk along the street and something just catches your eye and makes you smile. The Starlings shop windows are always attractive, but they have gone above and beyond with these lovely flowers. Such a cheery sight on a grey, drizzling afternoon.

I had a trip in to see the optician, with a sore eye, which was been given a chance to get better on its own, and didn't. 
The opticians are so busy. They are able to treat far fewer patients each day because of Covid restrictions and regulations. I was impressed with the polite and efficient manner of all the staff.  I waited while phone calls were made and a prescription was emailed from my GP to the chemist in Kirkwall. The email arrived just in time for them to dispense the eye drops before they closed at 5.30. A great result for which I'm very grateful.
