up Through the atmosphere…

I worked in the office today.

Not particularly happy about that, but that is because I am continually disturbed by so many people.

It went okay - apart from the obvious issues with my leg.

Sitting down and standing up means an  "oup".   Stairs were an issue -  I only did them once.

So late in the afternoon, it was about 4.30  I heard a noise. I honestly thought a plane was about to crash (the runway is about 400 yards from my window).  the noise went on and on, and got louder and louder.  I stood (yowping ) and tried to see over the trees.

I could see nothing.

No one else in the office was bothered.... so I figured they must know what it was (but bearing in mind I work beside people who completely ignore the arrival of the Beluga, and the biggest Asminovs ever).

I left shortly after, and it was on my way home that I recognized the source of the noise.   It was a Tilt-Rotor or Osprey.    The plane can take off like a helicopter with its rotors positioned above the plane - pointing vertically.

Once in the air, it can move its rotor to face the front pointing hotizontally.

I was very excited to seeing lumping over the countryside..  - It is most inelegant, and doesn't look sleek or smooth at all.

PS - I've added an extra to let you see the shape of it closer
