Pelicans in Flight

The pelican were flying beside the boat as we sped out to look at the ocean......they were flying about the same speed as us when my husband slowed down so I could take a photo. The extra is a shot of them skimming across the water.....there must not of been bait fish in the bay because I never saw one pelican diving for a fish. 

We caught just enough crab for the two of us to have crab/cheese sandwiches for dinner and a crab omelette tomorrow morning. It didn't take too long.....about an hour to drop the traps and pull them a few times in order to get 5 nice crab. those sandwiches were super yummy.....now off to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July celebration. I hear it has already started.
