the big day

We have been away to celebrate Lesley's 60th and the boys along with their girls had decorated the house we were in at Torquay for the big day. The extras summarise the day which started at Anstey's Cove for breakfast (for some reason the last blip). An afternoon cream tea on a boat trip along the Torbay coast (with a chorus of happy birthday conducted by the skipper) and an evening bbq that ended up indoors as the weather closed in again.
Lesley enjoyed the day immensely. The pace and informality of the day shared with the kids who had added some lovely surprises along the way made it really special. We had booked to be away in Spain for a big family get together but circumstances meant I double booked this as our plan B. It worked well and has been a day and holiday tour that will be long remembered.
