Mystery butterfly

...spotted returning back from our morning coffee hike. It is quite a trek to Sbucks. Anyway, that’s our justification. :-)

Does anyone know what kind of butterfly this is? My knowledge is limited to monarchs and eastern swallowtails.

Leaving tomorrow on an overnight flight back to Dulles. It’s been a wonderful time. Perhaps we’ll see fireworks from the plane...
