Palm In MK

It has been an interesting day. I decided I would volunteer at one of the local Covid Vaccination Centres. The closest one to me has shifts from 8-2 or 2-8 and I didn't fancy starting at 8 am or finishing at 8pm. The centre in Milton Keynes offered better hours 8-12 or 12-4 so I opted for 12-4.

What a slick system getting people in and out efficiently; it was interesting to be a part of this well oiled set up which works best when there are sufficient volunteers to support the 'jabbers'! Today I was ensuring that the pod I was with had a continuous supply of 'customers' getting more from the central waiting area as necessary.

The staff doing the injections were marvellous. No person was rushed, all questions carefully explained and there was a special private area for anyone who was especially nervous. It was tiring though, with a continuous supply of people wanting their jabs, but everyone was good humoured and waited patiently. I think I will go back another day
