Vortex

The center of this Zinnia reminds me of a vortex. The weather has cooled substantially. Today was a much cooler 84 f/ 29 c. 

We are returning to projects and activities put off by watering 3x/day during the heatwave. I hope to return to the summer-weight quilt I began a few months ago. 

The small community of Lytton recently registered the highest temperature on record on any date in Canada, at 121 f / 49.4 c. The following day, Lytton, BC was almost entirely burned to the ground!

This will be a dangerous fire season for the entire West Coast of the US this summer and fall. We are feeling the effects of climate change on our planet.
