Closer to being useable

My half day turned into a tiring one. A full morning and the last planned hour was a family meeting which ended up starting 15 minutes late and without most of his family. Due to traffic and inadequate parking space in the hospital, most of those we wanted to talk with were nearly a half hour late. A good meeting despite that.

The problem was ,ore with all the queued phone calls, meaning that it was mid-afternoon before we were able to leave to do some necessary things for the repairs and maintenance at the Titirangi house. We got there a lot later as further delays, which occurred when looking for a rug for the main room, resulted in us getting caught in the very slow traffic at the end of the working week.

Got there, put the rolled up rug into the dry safety of the garage, and went inside to see the progress. The painting is nearly all done in the upstairs rooms. and I was pleased to note how light and airy is the room where my desk will be under the window which faces northwest.

After an increasingly fraught ten minutes searching for the keys to the house before locking up, I discovered that the keys I was feeling in my pocket were not the car key but the house keys. We were then able to have a short visit with daughter C and Mr H; Young L was late home from school as he had visited a friend.
