Got the world in a spin

It was a marathon drive.

We set off at 945 dropped the cats at the cattery, and I spent 10 minutes trying to get the fur off me.  I decided to make it less stressful for them, I would travel in the back with them, on my lap.

They were definitely happier cats; but oh my. I'm glad I remember to take the clothes defluffer with me.

Himself drove to Westmoreland.  Always our choice of Service Station.  I couldn't believe the queue to get in.  However, it moved quickly, and there was no queue for the loo.

We grabbed a bite to eat and then took off again, me at the wheel.  And the rain started.

It rained, and it rained and it rained. Where there were skinny lanes. There was more rain.

Until we got to the M6 Toll.  We slid onto it, and there was no rain. It hadn't been raining. There was no traffic, and no rain, and the weather just got better from there on in.

We arrived at 7pm.  Got to our room, dropped our bags, and headed out for a taxi.

The taxi driver dropped us at Brewdog (gotta do it), and we had to download the NHS England Covid App which, as opposed to the Scottish one actually works.

Once we had downloaded, we were allowed to check in.  We took a seat outside, and wondered at all the people walking past, and back and forward and up and down, and scooters, and bikes, and walkers, and runners, and buses, and cars. And No Tooli.

And then suddenly - There she was.

To be honest, this confident, gorgeous, young lady could probably have walked past us sitting there, and I would have looked and thought WOW... but I might have missed the fact she was mine.

We had to do the on app ordering, which confused us no end. But we got there. Sadly it's very easy to spend a lot of money when you do it on the phone.

At 1030 - we were Tired and Tooli had another date.  So she headed off and we started walking.

yes!! We walked back to the hotel.

Lovely first night in Oxford.
