Lunch

This week I have been mainly tying up a few car related loose ends. We took ownership of my company car yesterday and I had to sort out insurance, tax and of all things a new windscreen - last week a chip and crack appeared. Fortunately that was paid for my the car scheme!

I and a shopping trip with my daughter to get her some new clothes including more concert dress. I also had a long overdue chat with my best friend.

Yesterday while I was waiting for the windscreen to be replaced I had a walk and cuppa with a work friend who has just had an operation and is recuperating at home.

Today I met another work friend for lunch - we met at Virginia Water station and walked to the restaurant admiring all the posh houses and fancy cars along the way. We both decided that even if we had the money we probably wouldn’t spend it on that… but they were gorgeous! A stroll back and I managed to be on the same train as my son so we walked home from the station together.

Today is Canada Day. My husband is working this evening so it’s a bit subdued but my son and I will fire up the BBQ and have a burger! I also bought some red and white sweets in our local shop and had them made up into little gift bags as a treat.
