In the Neighborhood

We don't usually see Red-tailed Hawks in the neighborhood, but apparently this one didn't know that.  I was on my way home and spotted movement in my peripheral vision and it looked big.  I stopped and backed up and there s/he was, nicely perched on a 4 foot fence around my neighbor's front yard.  I didn't have a camera with me so I shot this with my phone through the opened car window.  For the second day in a row, my image leaves a lot to be desired but I wanted it in my journal.  I hope they didn't have any small pets in the yard!

Thank you for all your visits and stars and hearts.  I really appreciate all of them!  I'm hoping to get caught up with everyone before I go to bed tonight!

I had an echocardiogram today because I had an abnormal EKG when I saw my doctor a few weeks ago.  She thought it was a false positive but thought we should follow-up with the echo.  I am grateful that it was normal!  She still wants me to follow up with a cardiologist but it's not urgent.  I have an appointment in two months. :-)
