Jorgie can’t adjust to such early dawns and has consequently wanted a walk at 4.30am. Luckily JD doesn’t mind!
After such an early start we were on our way to the ferry before 9am.
We always chose to travel via the Fishnish/Lochaline route which then takes you across a wonderful wild landscape back towards Fort William.
The A road is like a little country lane but we decided to take our preferred B road through Kingairlich.(extra)
Under clear blue skies the journey was an absolute delight and we stopped several times to just drink in the views.
By the time we reached the Corran ferry and lighthouse ( main) and true civilisation, it was really hot.
