Diary of an Edinburgher

Maggie visits!

More fitness videos - I’m going to try a new one every day instead of sticking with the same one. It was 8 minutes today, which was a bit long. I also did two bike sessions.

JR went to the gym earlier than usual (to get more done when she comes home), and indeed, she’s always busy doing things - gardening, cleaning windows, popping to the shop, hoovering (just as well I pay her well).

I watched some tennis, then took Archie out for a walk - popping in to see Dougal briefly - but I was overdressed, and had to come back - the haar has been lifting mid morning, and the rest of the days have been lovely.

We took another walk out to the Meadows, but I came home while the others went further. I watched the Kyrgios game. I rang the physio to request some sessions, she’d offered them a month ago and I’d been vague, but really, they can’t do any harm.

Maggie and her mum came round for a visit - a G&T in the afternoon. It was so hot. We had delicious nibbles, of course, and the dogs had a great time. Well - Maggie spent most of the afternoon ripping up one of Archie’s tennis balls, and Archie just mooched around on the periphery.

We had a proposal for Jan - something to do with a reciprocal arrangement with holidays and dog sitting. All good! In fact, in another spur-of-the-moment decision, another wee UK holiday has been arranged… very exciting.

And even more exciting (almost) Jan had a solution for our hedge trimming problem.

COVID update: JR has been reading the case totals every evening, and for many weeks now, has been exclaiming louder and louder in dismay. Scotland has more cases (per 100, 000) than anywhere IN THE WORLD! We’ve got more than Colombia, Argentina, Namibia and we’re going UP.  Fortunately, our vaccine rollout is good, or we’d be in the poo… Pathetic.
