Always Something New To Find

I saw this today, I have never noticed it before but on arriving home decided to do a bit of research.

Briefly; Sophie Gengembre Anderson is best known for one of her oil paintings on canvas, ’No Walk Today’. It depicts a little girl, dressed to go out for a walk, gazing pitifully out the window, sad that the bad weather has kept her indoors.
Having travelled extensively and lived in Paris, the U.S and Capri the Anderson’s final move was to Falmouth in 1894 where they settled in Woodlane Cottage.

Sophie Gengembre Anderson died on 10 March 1903, at her home in Falmouth. Her husband had died two months earlier on 11 January and both of them were buried in the same grave at Swanvale cemetery in Falmouth.
