What a beastie!

I went to the garage earlier to fetch the projector screen in so that we could use it tomorrow. I opened it up to check it was OK and this spider fell out! I don't think I have ever seen a spider quite like it before.

Quite hard to get a good close up shot because it kept running across the floor trying to find a dark corner, so this was the best of some poor to average shots, but it does show its odd shape.

The spider has since been re-united with the great outdoors, so I probably won't see this one again. I think if I try close ups of small beasts in the future it will have to be snails or something else that moves slowly (or not at all!).
