The Woodland Garden (Tuesday 22nd June 2021)
At the very top of the shared driveway lies the Driveway Patch, looked after by Refna and me for the benefit of the four households who use the drive. This buttercup has sprung up in the middle of a clump of cranesbills (hardy geraniums), and I took a few shots there during my wander around the garden.
I have slightly modified yesterday's alkanet blip as I wanted to make the raindrops on the petals slightly more prominent. I am also removing it from the Wildflower Challenge as I prefer this buttercup shot for consideration. Thanks to Miranda for hosting.
In one further change, my daily iris project will end with today's entries for the time being. The iris plant stopped changing a few days ago and I have photographed it every which way and don't want to repeat myself. However, I will continue to record any significant change in the coming weeks and months. An album of the entire series so far is linked to below.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Joni Mitchell - River (With French Horns) (recorded January 1971, A&M Studios, Los Angeles CA)
It can't have escaped your attention that the album Blue was released 50 years ago this day, thanks to all the media attention. To mark the occasion Joni Mitchell has released an EP of six songs of demos and sessions from the recording of the album. The version of River on the album has just Joni Mitchell singing and playing the piano, whereas here some French horns were tried for the closing section but ultimately not used. All six tracks will be included on a second volumes of Archives, to be released later in the year.
