Such a Delicate Head

…. she must be a young lady chamois. It was difficult to chose the main photo today as we went on a local mountain walk. We were hoping to see the baby bouquetins I saw 3 days ago for L’s birthday present. They had gone but we saw their older siblings (one in extra) and then a “tap, tap, tap” on a dead tree on the ridge. A very concentrated Three Toed Woodpecker was hacking the bark away to get at the insects there (second extra)! What a rare sighting. I even filmed him.
