At ground level

It’s a sad fact but a true one, I think, that as the years slip by, we spend more time looking at the ground beneath our feet. After all, if we do trip we don’t bounce as well as we once did.

The good thing about this is that you get increasing pleasure from observing all the small things at ground level.
