James Watt Dock, Greenock.
Just as Leith (previous 2 Blips) is Edinburgh's port, then Greenock was the major port for Glasgow. This is the James Watt dock, named after Greenock's most famous son: the man who harnessed the power of steam for the first time ever.
I was through on Clydeside tonight after golfing in Glasgow with my brother (I threw away a 2 hole lead on the last three holes, thanks for asking) and enjoying a visit to my mother.
A tiring, but enjoyable day.
p.s. I know that my comments on other journals have been fewer than usual - I'll get there, honest!
