Father's Day
Today is Father's Day, and after Xena had given Gavin a box of chocolates we went on a long walk through the woods. By the time we got home and had showered and got dressed for the day it was almost lunchtime, and time to go to the club for lunch. This year only Adam (and Pip) could join us, Luke is away with Meriel and Tommy is still at university, but it was lovely that Adam drove all the way from Cambridge to have a Father's Day lunch with us.
I had booked one of the outdoor domes which was really special - you can play your own music in there through bluetooth and set the lights to whichever colour you want! The meal was absolutely delicious, and we needed the walk in the gardens afterwards before we could drive home again. The gardens are looking lovely with all their wild flowers in bloom, and I took a few photos but am going back to take more later this week.
My blip had to be of Gavin for his special day although he hates photos of himself and probably won't like that he is featuring today! Tomorrow is already the summer solstice, I can hardly believe that, it seems that summer has barely started.
I hope that all the fathers have had a lovely day today!
