Assier

We drove over to Assier and had lunch in the Assierois with Michel, Jean-luc and Danielle.  Foie gras with pain d'epices, brochette des gambas and tirimasu.  The church was built between 1540 and 1549 by a general who is famous for the sort of stuff that generals do. The exterior frieze recounts his exploits.  Extras show some other buildings in the very pretty village.
