Summertime!

At least 16 flights left Edinburgh for London today. The busiest day at the airport since the pandemic began. All trains to London from Scotland are also sold out. The Tartan Army is mobilised by air, rail and road. Travelling hopefully to be as near to Wembley as possible by kick off time tomorrow night!

I had an early routine blood test this morning and was on the beach to see all the early risers swimming, cycling, jogging, yoga-ing and outdoor gym-ing. It was an inspiring sight in the warm morning sunshine.

Later I chaired a meeting in Budapest which went very well and all business accomplished within the two hours I had allocated for this agenda. The next meeting might be in Budapest in the autumn Covid regulations permitting. Who knows?

Great to catch up with neighbours this early evening. Summer sunshine is such an excellent catalyst for community connections! We’ve all quickly forgotten how long, cold and dark our Covid winter has been.
