Làrach Eaglais
The sunshine continues, we walked down to Kilvickeon beach with its tombolo out to the tidal island Garbh Eilean. The blip is the ancient Kilvickeon chapel which I’m told is commemorated by Sorley Maclean in his poem Làrach Eaglais, a Ruined Church.
The extra blip is Traigh na Margaidh/Market Bay, windswept and beautiful today, and empty save for oyster catchers and zoomy sand martins nesting in the dunes, completely undisturbed.
