The residents are happy.

This very large climbing rose provides accommodation for dozens of sparrows on this side of the fence and in the bushes on the other side. We don’t appear to have any shortage of them in this part of the country, as we have lots of new babies this spring. They certainly have good appetites. 

The thunderstorm predicted last night gave us a miss and we just had light rain, which was most welcome. It has been cooler today.
