They Are Back
Mild and sunny all day. Humidity bearable as well. Up at 6:00 am and have been running most of the day although at present, I only have 9,100 steps. My Fitbit died last Thursday and boy, have I missed it. Hubby found a wonderful deal for the model we both have because we have eight chargers. Anywhoo, I decluttered our bedroom and the spare room. We are always in a hurry and stuff gets set aside instead of put away. And that drives me nuts. But now I am a happy old girl. Breakfast on the front porch with the birds serenading me. Then I tackled the front flower garden. Between the “nut” grass and a terrible weed that wants to take over, I filled my flexible bin. Hubby put together and water sealed my birthday gift, a new swing for our garden patio (haven’t seen it yet). He trimmed around everything on the property, cut the grass in the garden and was beat like me after lunch. We rested awhile and were back at it taking care of odds and ends jobs. He’s at a Knight’s meeting and I am on the back patio being soothed by one of our flowing fountains. This has been somewhat of an emotional day for me. It brings the end to my 60’s. Thankfully, God sent this first zebra of the season today to remind me, “if nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies”. Look out 70’s, I’m spreading my wings! Thanks for the visit
