Summer heat

A very warm day, particularly considering how cool the weather was in May and how little opportunity our bodies have had to adapt to higher temperatures. At 26 degrees in the shade and a humid atmosphere, I didn’t feel like doing much other than some gentle dog walks and writing up and organising my course notes from the weekend.

So, having the day off today worked out well. We had some beautiful walks in the field, returning via the stream so Merlin could cool off in the cold water. He virtually dragged us there! I also feel I’ve had time to organise my thoughts from the weekend and set out what I need to do before our first proper assessment next month.

As I write it is still 25 degrees inside and the sky outside has turned a bright pink. Wishing you well on this Monday evening.
