Rhododendrons galore

Another great day, although the sky was mostly grey and the wind was strong at times. We spent most of the day walking around Cragside. The hills are awash with rhododendron blooms now. They are mostly shades of red and pink (see extra) but in some areas there were many scented, yellow flowers. There were fantastic views across to Simonside and beyond when we climbed up the stony paths. A lot of walking but we had plenty of breaks to admire the scenery.
