Back in the Jardin du Luxembourg for a little siesta after lunch and watching the kids playing with the wooden sailing boats on the pond. The boat hiring is possible on weekends, Wed afternoon and public holidays – when weather permits. Seems that the tradition already exists since 90 years and to rent a boat is in great demand. The official website is very puristic, but plenty other articles in French or English.
 
In the extra: Outside of the Jardin, on the railings of the garden is the free photo exhibition “Facets of the Rhône”, from the Swiss glacier to the delta of the Camargue in 80 large photos.
