DAMSELS' DELIGHT
I was in my happy place this afternoon, stalking insects at RSPB Saltholme. It helped me forget all about computers for a few hours, although in fact I think I'm almost sorted out on that front. Extras are Nettle Weevils (Phyllobius pomaceus) acting with weevil intent, a beautiful but as yet unidentified (by me) moth which gleamed gold in the sun, a Black-tailed Skimmer, and a Four-spotted Chaser. There were also Little Grebe chicks swimming about but they were so good at hiding their heads among the weeds that despite dozens of attempts I didn't get one good clear shot.
