Six

Today is our eldest grandchild's sixth birthday. At 07:00 her mum sent a photo of a very excited girl. She's been counting down the days.

We are all gathering at her home once she comes home from school to sing Happy Birthday and have a birthday tea. Her request is pasta and a rainbow cake. We have bought lego and some of the craft stuff she loves to give her for a birthday present. I'm sure her mum and dad will have decorated the house and done everything they can to give her a memorable day, her second covid-affected birthday. It will be nice to all be together, to see the three cousins playing and generally have a happy time. Shame the weather isn't so great but we'll be in the garden all the same.

As some blippers know I am not at all a crafty or artistic person - but I've done my best with cake confetti. Happy birthday to lovely E. Can't belive she's nearly finished her P1 year and is ready for all the adventures ahead.
