Encroaching

Today's images were both taken on the river path in my home village of Aylesford. The main image is of part of this strange tree - it appears to have all it's roots growing on the trunk - which has gradually encroached in front of the concrete structure in the background and is threatening to obscure it entirely. I really like the contrast between the texture of the roots and the concrete.
The extra is of the trees on a higher part of the river bank where the path threads through. It just loved the shadows and the dappled light.
