Footprints in the snow

Everything was dusted in a bright white layer of icing sugar this morning. All looked very pretty in the sunshine but was more or less gone by lunchtime.

I could have posted a nice winter landscape shot but I prefer this one as if you look closely at the snow around the bottom of the bale you can see a hen has passed by on her way in to inspect the cows. She doesn't seem to have come out again, must be warm and toasty in the byre.
