"Peoples Palace & Winter Gardens"

Nice sunny day again but bitterly cold, three fleeces n' a bunnett day. Had a walk around the dear green place and today's Blip comes from Glasgow Green and the building that is the Winter Gardens at the back of the Peoples Palace. There is an inscription on one of the slabs at the entrance, which reads;
"Standin' alone in the red sandstone
Wi' a big dome and steeple
The place vibrate wi the Glesga' Greats
For the workin' man they spoke
Be you grave or gallus,
Take a trip to the Palace
It belongs to the Glesga' Folk"

Happy Days if it would only get 15º warmer.
