A Story...& a good news one!

The curlew (female/long beak) in my main blip has had a broken leg for the past 5 years. Every year she has returned to the same field and hopped along on her badly mended leg. She returned again this year and was noticeably less able to move.

The good news is that she has at least one chick! The extras are of dad + chick and the chick itself. I watched them from my car for a little while which was lovely...cars make good hides & what an amazing bird! :)
