Who knew?

Along with all the flowers at the allotment there are quite a few grapevines. I spotted what I thought were tiny bunches of grapes forming on this one and set about trying to get a shot of the nascent grapes along with the hardened  climbing tendril from last year's crop. This was the best of the bunch...sorry.  Then I got to thinking that if these were grapes then I hadn't noticed any flowers and I realised that I had no idea what grape blossom looks like.  Googled it when home and it turns out that grape blossom is very inconspicuous and these are the buds ready to burst. Learn something every day.
Stevvi spurred me on to try and improve my "dull" Iris.  It turns out it was not easy - something about that delicate lemon does appear flat when photographed....another who knew?  Added a couple of extras which were the best I could do but they still didn't "pop".  And one more.... promise of at least one strawberry when this flower is pollinated. Got home and there were plenty of bees on my French Lavender so had a go at catching a shot of one.
