PEAs #OUEngRes

No residential schools at the University of Bath last year or this year but we still have to find a way to give our engineering students some practical activities. Because we are the OU we've found a way - and it is a return to an old favourite, the home experiment kit. Mine arrived today; I'm working on the L2 microprocessors activity. Because it's easier to send everyone everything I have all the kit for the full range of activities - including a posh OU Engineering apron and a toolkit!

The packs were put together by (mainly) volunteers going onto the campus and setting up production lines in the cafe; they've put together a couple of thousand boxes, each has 4 activities and many of the activities have many components.

So I've now got another Adafruit Playground Express and I've been playing with this one on MakeCode which is a visual programming environment (the other one I have is programmed using a version of Python) - MakeCode does allow code view too (Javascript). Always nice to get new toys
