Sea air
Woke to beautiful sunshine...something of a consolation since Heston had been awake several times since 5.30am and Kt had ended up taking him to the park at 6.30am!
I was very pleased with my new hairdryer plus accessories that had been delivered yesterday, although took some working out how to use everything, but hopefully it will put an end to the frustrations I’ve had trying to style since my hair’s been longer.
We headed off on our day trip via the doughnut shop....two each and the diet can start on Monday! Arrived in St Andrew’s in good time and had a little wander around...down to the harbour and round by the castle then lunch....had thought we’d be in the restaurant’s courtyard but instead we were in a tent on the street which was baking hot when we first went in but T managed to work out how to unzip a bit to let a breeze in.
Headed to the beach afterwards and Heston had a great run, chasing a ball and some seagulls and generally revelling in the huge open spaces and waves and very few other dogs to distract or annoy him (extra)
We were confused where to meet the landyachting people and ended up walking much further than we needed to, but it was good to get so many steps in for a change. Eventually found them but disappointed that there apparently wasn’t enough wind to do it....after going all that way! Given the number of texts and phone calls with them to finalise things today they could at least have told us earlier...oh well, another time.
Headed home and picked up some BBQ from the new place in town and enjoyed a feast before watching the new film Cruella....the evil dalmations very different to Heston!
