Spotted!
I was up early again this morning to do my second (and final) BTO Breeding Bird Survey for this year. I may squeeze in another visit to the Pied Flycatcher woodland, but the breeding bird season is drawing to a close. Still plenty of time left for butterflies and moths and although I’m still not getting much in my moth trap, there seems to be a variety and there were a couple of new for the year species in the form of a Lesser Swallow Prominent and this Gold Spot. Not the first time I’ve blipped it and probably not the last.
