Welcome Back!

We haven't seen much of the Greenfinches recently, but in the last day or two they've made a welcome reappearance. I wonder whether they've managed to raise a brood.
I spent most of the day in the garden, doing a few jobs and watching Spring finally starting to arrive. The newts in the pond are very active; out insect hotel is open for business with lots of solitary bees coming and going. I think they might be Red Mason Bees, but I'm really not sure. I even saw a couple of butterflies passing through, although the moth trap only yielded one LBJ last night.
