Pond hero

Our pond has been a source of concern for a while as it refuses to be anything other than sludge green!  Then the pump stopped working. So drastic action was required. And Mr D would need some help!  At the top of the list was Mr P. To make it worth the trip, I decided to offer a cream tea… home made scones with cream, and a choice of strawberry or homemade rhubarb and vanilla jam. Mr P is a star. He hefted out all the stone slabs that covered the pump, and in my blip you can see Mr D giving a thumbs up!  Several cups of tea and a few scones later friend R and Mr P departed with lots of thanks from us. I then finished making a rhubarb cake (see extra) to help deal with our rhubarb glut. This smells yummy too. In the midst of this I heard from brother J, that brother P had had a health scare. He had spent the day having tests in hospital, but it seems that all is well as they discharged him during the evening. Phew!
