I love my little Lumix

It was a toss up between this blip & yesterdays blip of jorgiesmum. ... Jorgiesmum won by a short head, so today with the lack of colour for a Wide Wednesday blip I give you my pic of the beaver we followed up & down a stretch of the river Otter last evening. Does she have a name??? I don't know. She has an ear tag - The River Otter Beaver Trial
Up the allotment early this morning, checking the plants were all looking ticketyboo. Very happy plants, very disappointed Bobby robin, I'd forgotten to bring some breadcrumbs, so I turned a piece of ground, plenty of life in the soil, after adding copious amounts of organic matter.
Tidied the paths, cut the grass, did a bit of weeding between the fruit bushes, measured the netting to cover & protect the blueberries from the birds. I need some tent pegs to hold it down, in the absence of having such things in my stash I thought I would try and make my own with some old wire coat hangers ... That's a WIP. I need some strong wire cutters. I pulled some rhubarb, it started spotting with rain. No jacket so decided to head for home.
Indie walk over Knighton heath, I came across some new flytipping - a kitchen cabinet complete with contents .. manky jar of mayonnaise plus more food items. I took some pics and will forward them to DWT as they manage the land. A lovely walk not too much rain although I'd dressed for the worst, as the weather forecast was'nt promising.
I went through Mum's shopping list, jogging her memory, adding a few more items to the list then headed for the Coop. Filled up with petrol, then did the shop. Back to Mum's - Danish pastry (custard & almonds) :-D & coffee, then plant some bedding stocks that we bought a couple of weeks back. Lovely strong plants, but I think they might be pastel shades. I quickly decided  to head home, keep hubby sweet, then head back down to Mum's and dig the bed that we treated with weed killer a couple of months back. The three-cornered leek gone.
Dug the bed over, taking out the wild strawberry plants that have spread, not much Three-cornered leek to be found, just a few tiny bulbules. Time to plant some herbaceous to go with the roses which survived. Job done! 4.50pm ... My cider was calling me.
Another busy but satisfying day.
