Californian Lilac
Otherwise known as Ceanothus. I'm not sure which cultivar we have, but our tree is looking its best now. The plant must have thousands of individual flowers which, en masse, produce a strong honey scent, irresistible to bees and many other insects. If I stand underneath the tree the sound of buzzing is amazing.
This morning we had another in- person Uke class (this time in Winchester)which we all enjoyed. We also saw a few swifts flying and squealing over the city.
