Eat-me-not..

..is what the six spot burnet moth is communicating with its pretty colour pattern. I wonder if the predators have to learn the meaning of aposematism empirically or if they instinctively restrain from feasting on this conspicuously colored moth which feeds on cyanogenic plants, metabolizes it and releases this lethal compound when under attack!
