Blue and Gold

We have had another busy day. We have wanted to get new dining room chairs since the beginning of 2020. At last we feel ready to go shopping for such things. We started out at one of our well know northern furniture stores but didn't find what we wanted, not even anything close. We moved on to another independent local store in Northallerton and found just what we wanted. The assistant who had started to serve us had gone to lunch so we decided to do the same. The funny part was that by the time we got back to the area where the dining furniture was there was another couple buying those same chairs. Eventually we found our assistant and purchased our chairs but they have to be ordered as the previous couple had bought the last two that were in the warehouse. So we will have to wait until the end of August before we get our chairs delivered.

When we got back to Stokesley we drove around to the garden centre where we were yesterday as I wanted to buy some plants while we had the car to carry them home. So I got my blip of the yellow oilseed rape fields with Roseberry Topping in the background.

It has been really hot today. Around 24 degC so by the time we got home I felt so tired that I needed a 'nanna nap' while I half watched Nadal almost lose a set at the French Open.
