The largest Douglas Firs are to be found in a National Trust For Scotland property called The Hermitage.

The weather was very sunny with a quite remarkable temperature of 26C. The walks and the trees are remarkable as is the sounds of the river and the falls.
Between us we took some 100 photos and I have published two of mine as Extras.
We headed for The Hermitage by way of Dundee and Coupar Angus by the A923. Surprisingly part of this road is single track with passing places. I think it is to preserve the fine avenues of trees on both sides.
We enjoyed our picnic and returned home by The Sma Glen and Glen Devon.
