Yesterday I was bemoaning the lack of dragonflies but normal service has resumed. On this morning's early walk with the spaniel I must have seen a dozen BBCs (Broad-bodied Chasers), almost all golden-brown females. This one is recently emerged, she still has traces of exuvia on her abdomen.
