Dendrobium Orchid

I can't resist a bargain so when, in Morrison's this afternoon, I spotted a very sad-looking orchid reduced from £10 to £2 I decided to give it a go - after all, there are still flowers on it to be enjoyed and it comes with a free pot. Plus, the coloured lilies I bought for 60p at the end of April turned out to be a real bargain, lasting about three weeks.

I Googled for information on care for these, while giving it a good soak as the yellowing leaves suggested it was too dry - perhaps not the best course of action as it turns out. However, there is a little green shoot at the base, so I'll keep you posted on any developments. 

NB, the blue toothbrush is just to wedge the pot to stop it keeling over while soaking.
