Snoozer

I had a little wander this afternoon to see if there were any butterflies around, as I have a survey at Longshaw in the coming week and I wanted to know if the warmer weather had brought any out. I saw just a few - but hopefully a few more days of fine weather will bring out a few more.
The highlight of my walk was this Little Owl, napping on the wall. This was the only photo I managed with its eyes open. I also saw a patch of St George's mushrooms - over a month late.
Last night saw just one moth in the trap - a Scalloped Hazel, a nice one so it goes in extras
