A young tern by my early walk

It was a very cold morning in Edinburgh. The ponds in front of the Parliament had a little ice on them in places but this young tern seemed to be enjoying having his feet in the water and being illuminated by the rising sun.

(PS; I thought it was a seagull but thanks to those who pointed out it wasn't... and apologies to Burns for the allusion.)
