Little bit of bread and no cheeeeese

An unusually useful way to remember the Yellowhammer song. This one was singing his heart out.
A busy day archaeologising. After a very decent roadside bacon roll, the cairns of Camster made an impressive start as did the next site, Carn Liath, a broch, only spoilt by its proximity to the A9. Stonehenge similarities.
After that we picked up another Pictish Symbol Stones trail and this one was rather better organised and the last two stones in particular were stunning, one set in a glass case on its original site and the other moved into a pretty very old chapel.
A curry on the way through Inverness seemed appropriate and then on to Glen Affric looking for, and failing to find, a wild campsite. Back onto our more traditonal route along to Cluanie and a perfect spot presented itself just off the route of the old road. It would not have been so perfect if the Cluanie Dam had decided to burst but it did not keep us awake.
